The Internationalisation of the National Institute of Science and Technology (INCT) of the Democratic Republic of East Timor (RDTL)

Abstract

The National Institute of Science and Technology is celebrating its 10th anniversary as a promoter of scientific knowledge and as a funding agency for science in the region and the world. As a promoter of science, the INCT promotes science in the Timorese national territory, guided by the paradigms of world science. As a science funding agency, research funds from the General State Budget have proved insufficient to guarantee the quality of scientific research. In this context, co-operation with external partners is a fundamental strategic axis for leveraging the INCT to promote science and technological progress in the region and the world.
