Abstract

This scientific article presents an analysis of research centers in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and public institutions in Timor-Leste, describing the general panorama of scientific research in the country, the number of existing research centers, the qualification of researchers, and the infrastructural conditions. Based on data collected from seventeen (17) higher education institutions in Timor-Leste and nineteen (19) public institutions visited, the aim is to understand the current state of research centers in the scientific and academic development of Timor-Leste.
